In a nationwide broadcast on Sunday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu acknowledged the ongoing protests by Nigerian youths, stating that their demands have been heard “loud and clear.”
The President expressed condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives during the protests, which have resulted in at least 15 deaths and widespread destruction of properties.
Tinubu emphasized the need to end the violence and bloodshed, saying, “We must stop further bloodshed, violence, and destruction.”
He reassured the youth that the government is committed to listening to and addressing their concerns.
He said, “My dear Nigerians, especially our youth, I have heard you loud and clear. I understand the pain and frustration that drive these protests, and I want to assure you that our government is committed to listening and addressing the concerns of our citizens.”
