Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has emerged as the candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 presidential elections.

Obi who recently dumped the opposition Peoples Democratic Party for LP was billed to contest the presidential primary against popular economist, Pat Utomi.

However, Utomi stepped down on Monday at the party’s national convention in Asaba, Delta State capital.

He also endorsed the former Anambra governor for the 2023 presidency.
