The Abia State acting chairman of New Nigeria Peoples Party, Hon. Kelechi Apugo, said that the party is focusing on holding the government accountable.
In an interview with the Independent, Apugo blamed Governor Alex Otti for not doing enough in over 100 days in office.
He maintained that the NNPP was strong enough to become the opposition party in the state.
The party chieftain stressed that the focus of the party is to hold the government accountable to the people.
He added that NNPP will continue to advocate for good governance and strive to win future elections.
In his words, “NNPP was a strong party in the last election and nothing has changed now. We remain strong and also building to further reach out to every part of the state.
“We are committed to providing robust and constructive opposition in Abia State. Our focus is holding the government accountable and advocating for good governance, as well as championing the interest of our people while working extremely hard to win future elections.
“The goals are clearly mapped out in our plan to ensure that those in government are kept on their toes for the overall interest of Abians.”
