Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has reiterated the commitment of the regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to support small and medium-scale businesses.
Osinbajo stated this on Monday at the 5th National Micro And Medium Enterprise Awards dinner held at the State House Old Banquet Hall.
While presenting awards to the recipients, he said, “The Federal Government is committed to supporting small businesses by providing the enabling environment for them to thrive.”
The VP then announced arrangements for the establishment of MSME Shared Facility projects comprising the Kaduna State Tomato Paste Production Hub and the Ogun State refurbished Adire market.
“Other facilities are now being established in Gombe, Bauchi, Kebbi, Ebonyi, Delta, Nasarawa, Ekiti, Abia and Kano States,” he added, according to a statement by his spokesman, Laolu Akande.
Also, the Vice-President praised the Nigerian youths for their relentless efforts and energy which he explained has continued to remain important for the growth of the nation.
“The relentless drive, energy and creativity of young Nigerians, is the guarantee that the country will prosper and provide jobs and opportunities for the millions of youths coming into the job market yearly,” Osinbajo noted.
