Barr Kayode Ajulo, a legal practitioner of the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Sen. Iyiola Omisore has stated that Omisore has not resign his appointment.
He stated while reacting to the speculations that the APC chieftain has tendered his letter of resignation as the National Secretary of the Party.
He stated that Omisore could not afford to allow the party to be dismantled again by unknown elements, and that it would be improper for both the National Chairman of the party, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, and Omisore to vacate their positions simultaneously.
He stated that such rumours of Omisore’s resignation were baseless and unverified, adding that they existed only in the minds of the peddlers.
According to him, Omisore has not resigned as national secretary of the APC; I just spoke with him now; he has arrived at the sSectariat and joined the other NWC members in their regular meeting as National Secretary.
If Omisore decides to resign, he will do so voluntarily, he said, adding that he has not been compelled to resign and no one has asked him to do so.
Ajulo stated that the rumoured resignation of the party’s chairman did not indicate that Omisore would follow suit, despite the fact that it was unconfirmed.
“Why must he resign, he Is the National Sectetary of the winning Party that usher in the new government of President Tinubu, he is proud of what the President is doing and the Party enjoys the confidence of the President vice versa.
” What he is doing now is to stabilise the political space and ensure that those who worked for the energece of President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian people are happy with the government, that is his preoccupation., ” he said.
He said, Omisore did not write any letter to the effect of his resignation, saying, if there is any letter, he is going to write it will be the letter of how Nigeria will be great and if there is any memo it will be what Nigeria will benefit from.
