The Presidential Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Adewole Adebayo has faulted the inability of the Nigeria President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), in averting the various security crises witnessed in the nation.
Ajewole who spoke on Channels TV on Wednesday stated that the poor use of intelligence reports in Nigeria is partly responsible for the lapses recorded in the nation’s security architecture
According to him, the failure of Buhari to adequately use to the advantage of the country, the various intelligence reports at his disposal and the poor management of the nation’s boundaries have resulted in the rising cases of insecurity being experienced in Nigeria.
“There’s inattention to the intelligence reports, the president of Nigeria has not been conversant with these reports.
“You would notice that when Kuje Correctional Center was attacked, the president on Twitter said that he was shocked, he’s meant to have the intelligence report about this before it happened.
“And when we went further we realized that the security agencies said there were several intelligence reports predicting the attack, so I think generally that it’s poor intelligence and poor management of our boundaries by the president that’s responsible for our security woes” he added.
