Ondo Attorney General, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, has called on Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria Kudirat Kekere-Ekun to spearhead the development of a comprehensive judicial code of conduct.
The code aims to enshrine ethical and professional standards for judicial officers, ensuring the integrity, impartiality, and independence of the judiciary, and restoring public confidence.
Ajulo emphasized the need for reforms, addressing systemic challenges such as funding, infrastructure, and case backlogs, to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of the justice system, according to TheNation.
He also stressed the importance of promoting gender equality and diversity within the judiciary, leveraging technological innovations, and fostering collaborative synergy between the judiciary, legislative, and executive branches.
Ajulo congratulated Kekere-Ekun on her appointment, expressing trust in her ability to uphold the integrity of the Supreme Court and strengthen public faith in the judicial system.
