The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has mocked the Labour Party, the Peoples Democratic Party, and their supporters in Osun State ahead of this weekend’s governorship election.

Osun’s incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola of the APC, will slug it out with PDP’s Ademola Adeleke and LP’s Lasun Yusuf amongst others as he seeks a return to office in the election holding on Saturday, July 16.

However, during a mega rally in the state on Tuesday, Tinubu labelled PDP and LP who appear to be the main contenders alongside Oteyola as ‘mushroom’ parties.

In a direct dig at LP who has been gaining recognition on the national level thanks to their presidential candidate, Peter Obi, the former Lagos State governor didn’t mince words by stating that the party and their supporters will labour in vain till death.

He said, “Our national chairman has done the job. We thank God for him. Just a few weeks after he assumed office, he got Ekiti in a safe deposit.

“Now he has the luck to face you in Osun, to ask you to please do the same thing, come out with your PVC and vote for APC.

“Osun, the voting is now in your hands, be very vigilant, May God grant all your heart desires. As we have just celebrated the Eid festival, may you witness more. Think of your children, and vote for a better future. This good fortune is yours, it’s my turn.

“On Saturday, come out en masse, show PDP, and other mushroom parties like Labour Party, they’ll labour till death! May your own labour never be in vain! You will meet good fortune at home; of money children and prosperity, It’s your turn.”
