President Bola Tinubu on Saturday expressed his confidence in Enugu State Governor Barr Peter Mbah, acknowledging his impressive leadership and developmental achievements.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ engagement at the Banquet Hall, Governor’s Lodge in Enugu, Tinubu stated, “You have built up a good team, and I have reviewed a number of things with you in Abuja. You have encouraged me on the technological advancement of the state. I know your background,” underscoring his trust in Mbah’s capabilities.
The president further commended Mbah’s commitment to development, saying, “You are doing a fantastic job. I am glad that Enugu has a bright future today. I salute Peter Mbah for his commitment to development.” He praised Mbah for fostering innovation in the state and highlighted his efforts to engage the private sector.
Moving beyond politics, Tinubu emphasized the importance of national unity, stating, “The election is over, and we have to move the nation forward.” He also acknowledged Mbah’s focus on human development, saying, “You are my friend. You are doing well and very focused.”
The president commended Mbah for his work in enhancing security and attracting investments, particularly noting the establishment of the Distress Response Squad, aimed at ensuring safety. “Please, continue to cooperate and collaborate with your son, brother, and friend here, Mbah, who is committed to pushing the development of Enugu State and being a good symbol for southeastern states,” Tinubu urged the stakeholders.
Earlier, President Tinubu inaugurated several projects completed by Mbah’s administration, showcasing significant progress in the state.
