President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised Nigerian youths for their innovative spirit and digital adoption, saying they hold the key to transforming the country into a prosperous and globally acclaimed nation.
In a statement marking International Youth Day, the president acknowledged the strides of youths in various fields, particularly in developing billion-dollar technologies and innovations, according to Daily Trust.
He saluted young entrepreneurs and innovators across the country, assuring them that his administration is committed to making their dreams a reality in an inclusive economy.
Similarly, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, and other lawmakers celebrated Nigerian youths, reiterating their commitment to empowering them through youth-oriented legislations.
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq urged youths to engage in ethical use of new media and shun social vices, while the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Danladi Salihu Yakubu, emphasized the importance of recognizing youths’ voices and potentials in building a sustainable future.
In a statement to mark the International Youth Day, the president said within the nation’s youths “Lies the excellent spirit and pearl of transformation to digitally innovate Nigeria to prosperity and global acclaim.”
