President Bola Tinubu has praised former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, for his significant contributions to democracy and his meritorious service to Nigeria as he marks his 65th birthday.
El-Rufai, a respected administrator, scholar, and politician, is a founding member of the All Progressives Congress and is known for his resourcefulness and intellectual acumen. He served as the governor of Kaduna State for eight years and previously held key positions, including Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory from 2003 to 2007.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu celebrated El-Rufai’s dedication to the nation and commended his role in shaping Nigeria’s political landscape. The President particularly highlighted El-Rufai’s contributions during the formation of the APC and his instrumental role in the party’s success in the 2015, 2019, and 2023 elections.
Tinubu extended his warm wishes to El-Rufai, expressing hope for his continued good health and strength to serve Nigeria further.
