The Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has declared his intention to drop out of the race to become the 10th Assembly speaker.
The lawmaker representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Constituency made this known on Wednesday during a press conference at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
It was gathered that he stepped down for Hon. Abbas Tajudeen who is also seeking to emerge the next speaker of the green chamber.
It would be recalled that Hon. Abass Tajudeen was among the candidates chosen by the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress as its preferred choice to lead the 10 assembly.
