Sokoto PDP mourns ex-Deputy governor Ahmed Gusau

The Sokoto State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has expressed deep sadness over the death of former Deputy Governor Alhaji Ahmed Muhammad Gusau.

Gusau passed away on Friday and was buried on Saturday morning in Sokoto, according to Nigerian Tribune.

In a condolence message, the party described the demise as a distinguished gentleman, astute politician, respected statesman, and patriot who made significant contributions to the development of Sokoto State and Nigeria.

The party acknowledged that Sokoto and Nigeria have lost an illustrious son, political icon, and respected leader who dedicated his life to serving the nation and humanity.

The PDP’s tribute highlights Gusau’s remarkable legacy and commitment to public service, and offers condolences to his family, friends, and the people of Sokoto State during this difficult time.

A statement issued on Saturday by the state publicity Secretary Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal said, that the PDP State Chairman Hon Muhammadu Bello Aliyu Goronyo prayed Allah to forgive his shortcomings and give him eternal rest.
