Vice President Kashim Shettima is presiding over a meeting of the National Economic Council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
A key topic of discussion at the meeting is the proposal to establish state police across Nigeria.
The NEC, which comprises the 36 state governors, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, and the Minister of Finance, regularly convenes to address and make decisions on issues impacting the nation’s economy and security.
