Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will lead Southwest governors and others at the Yoruba National Day lecture scheduled to take place on Monday at the Prof. Wole Soyinka Lecture Theatre, University of Ibadan.
Sanwo-Olu will lead the event as chairman and deliver a lecture titled “National Unity and Agitation for Self-Determination: The Way Forward for Nigeria”.
The occasion will also honour several prominent individuals with the Ori Olokun Odu’a Award, recognizing their contributions to the Yoruba community and nation-building, according to Nigerian Tribune.
Recipients include Ambassador (Dr.) Tokunbo Awolowo-Dosumu, Dr. Abimbola Samuel Ladoke Akintola, Otunba (Senator) Gbenga Daniel, and Chief Bayo Adelabu, among others.
The event aims to promote unity and self-determination among the Yoruba people and contribute to the national discourse on Nigeria’s future.
