The decision, made on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, was announced by Stephen Gadong, the State Head of Civil Service.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s approval underscores his commitment to improving the welfare of Plateau’s workforce, acknowledging their crucial role in the state’s development.
Gadong encouraged civil servants to embrace the new wage policy with renewed dedication to enhance productivity and service delivery.
The national minimum wage increase to N70,000 was approved by President Bola Tinubu in July 2024, though some states are still implementing it.
