The Executive Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, has been awarded by the International Oil Companies operating in the state for creating a “business-friendly” environment.
The Governor received this award on Thursday in Delta State, while playing host to representatives of these companies.
He shared pictures of this event, together with a statement issued on Friday.
He wrote, “Over the past eight years, by working closely with the host communities and the oil companies operating in our state, we have successfully nurtured a culture of mutual understanding. This collective effort has fostered peace and promoted cooperation.
“This is why, yesterday, I was deeply honored when our efforts were acknowledged by the International Oil Companies (IOC) operating in Delta State — as they bestowed upon me an award in recognition of my administration’s commitment to creating a “business-friendly” environment, which has positively impacted the investment climate in our state.
“As my term comes to an end, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the members of my administration whose dedication and hard work made this significant milestone possible.”
