The Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, arrived in Beijing, China on Monday, to represent President Bola Tinubu at the upcoming 3rd Belt and Road Initiative Forum.
Shettima was received at the airport, by a high-level delegation of Chinese officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Vice Chairman of the Beijing Municipal People’s Congress.
It would be recalled that Premium Politics reported that the Vice President left Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria on Sunday, to represent President Bola Tinubu at the 3rd Belt and Road Initiative Forum, which will be held in Beijing, China, between the 16th and 18th of October, 2023.
The Vice President is on a diplomatic mission, to meet other leaders around the world, to promote Nigeria’s interests at the BRI Forum, a gathering, where they will discuss and deliberate upon the theme, “High-quality Belt and Road Cooperation: Together for Common Development and Prosperity.”
