The former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda, has been sworn in as the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.
Her swearing-in followed her immediate nomination for the position.
Meranda had earlier stepped down as Speaker amid the ongoing leadership crisis within the Lagos Assembly. However, the crisis remains unresolved, as the removal of former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa continues to divide the House and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
