The Chief of Staff to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, Alhaji Mahe Abdulquadri, has died at the age of 75.
According to Daily Post, family sources confirmed that Mahe passed away on Saturday at his residence in Adewole, Ilorin. His death has left the state mourning the loss of a prominent figure who had served in various capacities at both federal and state levels.
Mahe was a former senior staff member at the Nigeria Television Authority Ilorin before transitioning to the Kwara State civil service. During his illustrious career, he served as a permanent secretary and later as the clerk of the Kwara State House of Assembly before his retirement.
In addition to his administrative roles, Mahe was regarded as a strong hopeful for the Emirship throne in Ilorin, reflecting his deep-rooted influence within the community.
Just days before his passing, Mahe attended the 2024 Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union meeting, held between December 24th and 25th. His presence at the event underscored his commitment to the development of the Ilorin Emirate.
As of the time of this report, arrangements for his burial were underway, in accordance with Islamic rites.
Alhaji Mahe Abdulquadri will be remembered for his contributions to the civil service and his active role in fostering unity and progress within the Ilorin Emirate. His demise marks the end of a remarkable chapter in the history of Kwara State.
