A Forum of Former Special Advisers to the former immediate Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said that the All Progressive Congress will cast home victory, at the Supreme Court, over the Kano Governorship Election.
Stating this while addressing newsmen at the NUJ press centre on Sunday, the Chairman of the Forum, Dr Abbati Bako said indicators from the lower court, and Appeal court that earlier confirmed Dr. Yusuf Gawuna’s victories are enough indices to exist confident.
Dr Bako explained that “the court process is built on sound legal arguments that rely on evidence, and witnesses, and we have proved our mettle in this respect in our last two outings”.
He added, “It is pertinent to note that the generality of Kano people have high hopes and positive expectations in the administration of Gawuna/Garo as they await their arrival as the duly elected Governor and Deputy Governor respectively Insha Allah.”
He said, “Their tenure will change from the normal off-circle INEC election calendar as such it’s going to be an amazing year of tremendous development in Kano state.”
The chairman of the forum stated, “We have hope and confidence in the administration of Gawuna/Garo in the upliftment of the tenets of democratic rules, regulations and principles of which every party member from ward level to the state will have the opportunity to vote and be voted for of which is a fundamental right in democratic dispensation”.
Similarly, the forum also appreciated the efforts of the state’s APC chairman Abdullahi Abbas and his members for their continued efforts to ensure the success of the party in the state.
They however declared loyalty and support for Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and his Deputy Murtala Sule Garo as they await victory at the Supreme Court.
