Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has accepted the resignation of the Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Engr. Muhammad Diggol. The resignation takes effect immediately.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Sunday by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Engr. Diggol was first appointed as the Commissioner for Transportation at the start of Governor Yusuf’s administration in 2023. He was later reassigned to lead the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, where he served until his resignation.
In response to the development, Governor Yusuf expressed gratitude to Engr. Diggol for his dedication and hard work during his time as a member of the state’s executive council. The Governor commended his exemplary service and commitment to Kano State’s development, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
“The Governor’s office deeply appreciates Engr. Diggol’s unwavering commitment to the state and its developmental goals,” the statement noted.
Engr. Diggol’s resignation signals a change in the leadership of the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation. As of now, no successor has been announced to fill the role.
