The Peoples Democratic Party candidate in the 2023 Lagos State elections, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, alongside his supporters, has officially declared his decision to leave the PDP and join a new political party.
The announcement was made during a press conference held today at Liberty Place, Ikeja, Lagos.
Adediran, who was accompanied by a large group of supporters, revealed that the decision to part ways with the PDP stemmed from actions taken by some of the party’s leaders, including the former Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George.
According to Jandor, these leaders actively worked against the PDP in the 2023 elections.
“We will consult widely with everybody and then take the decision to collapse our structure to another platform. What is majority on ground now is that we have left the Peoples Democratic Party,” Jandor stated.
