Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has declared Monday, 24 February 2025, a public holiday to enable residents to participate in the inauguration of his administration.
A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, announced that the work-free day would allow the people of the state to witness the swearing-in ceremony of Governor Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Owolabi Adelami.
In a related development, the governor has ordered the cancellation of the restriction of movement previously scheduled for Saturday, 22 February 2025, during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.
However, despite the lifting of the restriction, residents have been urged to ensure their surroundings are properly cleaned.
