Violence had allegedly broken out at Umuodu Community Primary School, Ezinihitte Mbieri, in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo state, as the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission began collation of the Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
The report revealed that confusion started at the venue of the result collation known as the collation centre, as the INEC official started the process of result collation.
It was gathered that INEC officials had called out the scores allocated to each political party at booths 015 and 016, without recording the same in the result sheets.
Meanwhile, a voter had earlier hinted that there was an alleged vote buying in the polling unit before the fight started.
However, some politicians were reported to have carted away electoral officials and result sheets on Saturday.
