The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has said he is open to reconciling with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
According to TheCable, Atiku said this on Thursday while fielding questions from journalists in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
This is coming following calls that Wike was supposed to be chosen as running mate to the former Vice President and not his Delta State counterpart, Ifeanyi Okowa.
Expressing his stand, Atiku, when queried if he was ready to meet with Wike for reconciliation, said “Why not? I am open to that.”
When asked if the party is divided into factions, Atiku said, “It is a social media drama. There is nothing like a Wike camp or Atiku camp. There is one PDP family.”
“Some people get angry when things don’t go their way and so on and so forth. We will overcome that. I have every belief that we are going to do that,” he added.
