Son of the late business mogul and winner of June 12, 1993 annulled presidential election, Kola Abiola, said he would unravel the mystery behind his father’s death if he becomes Nigeria’s president in 2023.

Abiola, who is contesting the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the Peoples Redemption Party, made this known on Saturday.

He spoke on Nigeria Info FM and noted the need for Nigerians to know what really happened and those behind the killing of the late Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola.

“We don’t really need to do anything special, the truths are there and it would be made known without even making a move.

“If I become the president, these facts behind the death of my father’s death will be revealed,” he stated.

He also explained that his current struggle to become the next president of Nigeria is a mirror of his father’s struggles when he contested the exalted seat 30 years ago.

“All I am going through now is a mirror of his struggles, I am still contesting against the people he contested against in the 1993 election.

“He contested against the Atiku Abubakar who is now the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and I am right here contesting against him,” he said

Abiola assured Nigerians that he won’t only continue the legacies of his father but also work to create a better nation for the younger generation of Nigerians who are seeking a better reality.
