President Bola Tinubu has reassured Nigerians that he will live up to his campaign promises.
Tinubu who made the promise while giving a speech during the Presidential Inauguration Dinner/Gala night at the State House, told Nigerians not to pity him because he asked for the job.
According to the President, despite the level of poverty, corruption and other societal vices, there is no excuse for him not to live up to his campaign promises.
During the event which had the immediate former President, Muhammadu Buhari, the immediate former Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, Dolapo Osinbajo, in attendance, Tinubu, said he campaigned to fix the country’s enormous problems and he would do it.
“No excuses, I will live up to the bill, I promise you.
“Corruption, poverty, inconsistencies in policy, and many other problems confronting us.
“Don’t pity me, I asked for the job, I campaigned for it,” the president said.
