A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Kabiru Gaya has said that the emergence of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is God’s answer to the country’s prayers for good leadership.
Gays said this while speaking during a joint prayer session organised by the party’s Stakeholders Forum on Wednesday night.
The federal lawmaker, who represents Kano-South senatorial district in the Senate, said Mr Tinubu’s antecedents as governor of Lagos state, were evidence that God has answered our prayers for good leadership.
However, he expressed optimism that if a replica of his Lagos achievements could be repeated at the federal level, in terms of infrastructure and grow the state’s economy despite odds at the national level, Nigeria would be a better place for all to live.
Expressing happiness in the pairing of Tinubu and his Vice, Kassim Shettima, Gaya stated that they are a perfect match.
The federal lawmaker noted that Shettima also worked hard to develop Borno state, while he was the governor of the state.
According to him, Tinubu and Shettima’s combination is a perfect match that can bring Nigeria to greater heights and make it envious among other nations, around the world.
However, he prayed that God will give them the needed wisdom to form a formidable that will work for the betterment of the country.
“I am sure God will guide them to bring in place professionals as cabinet members to work with and form a good government in the interest of the country and its citizens,” he prayed.
