Ganduje dissolves cabinet six days to handing over

Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje had on Monday, dissolved his cabinet, ahead of May 29, handing over.

This was announced in a statement titled: “Handover of Activities” issued from the office of the Secretary to the state government and signed by the permanent secretary, Hajiya Bilkisu Maimota.

In the statement, Governor Ganduje instructed all Commissioners, Special Advisers, chief Executives of Parastatals/Government owned-Companies and other political appointees to hand over to the permanent secretaries and Directors, administration and general services in their respective establishments.

He instructed that all government properties in possession of the appointees, be handed over to the Permanent Secretaries or Directors of Administration & General Services/Directors Personnel Management (DPM), on or before May 26, 2023.

He, however, directed them to make copies of their handover notes available to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government for record purposes.

The governor, who has served two terms consecutively, as the governor of the state, will be handing over to the Governor-elect, Abba Kabir-Yusuf, of the New Nigeria People’s Party, on May 29, 2023.
