Former Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan, visited former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Daura, Katsina State, earlier today.
The visit was revealed by the former Special Assistant on Digital Communications to Buhari, Bashir Ahmed, who shared the news on the social media platform X.
Senator Lawan, who held the position of Senate President from 2019 to 2023, had contested for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress in 2022.
Although his bid had the backing of then-President Buhari, the party ultimately chose Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its candidate.
Muhammadu Buhari, who served as Nigeria’s president from 2015 to 2023, remains a prominent figure in the APC and continues to hold significant influence in Nigerian politics, particularly in the northern region.
