A former chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, Justice Emmanuel Ayoola, has passed away at the age of 90 on Tuesday.
The deceased’s family announced his passing in a statement, saying: “With heartfelt gratitude to the Lord Almighty, for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing away of our beloved Dad, granddad, great-granddad, brother, uncle, benefactor, and friend, Hon. Justice Emmanuel Olayinka Ayoola (JSC, rtd; CON).”
The family’s statement expressed their gratitude for Ayoola’s life, describing it as “beautifully lived”. They also highlighted his various roles and relationships, including his position as a retired Justice of the Supreme Court and his award of the national honor, Commander of the Order of the Niger.
