The immediate past Governor of Adamawa State Senator Jibrilla Bindow, has defected from the All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party.
According to Channels, Bindow, is has declared his support for the re-election bid of the incumbent governor of the State, Governor Umaru Fintiri.
Bindow disclosed this to Governor Fintiri through a delegation of 250 leaders of his support groups.
Speaking at the Banquet Hall of Government House in Yola on Monday, the delegation’s leader, Abdullahi Bakari, claimed the visit was ordered by their principal.
According to the leader, the former governor has urged them to express his gratitude to Governor Fintiri for completing projects he inherited around the state.
They are also rallying behind former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, whom they say has served as a leader to them over the years and hence deserves their support in his presidential bid.
