The Enugu State Government has dismissed reports of an ongoing recruitment by its Civil Service Commission, describing the claims as false and a scam.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Enugu, the State Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Mr Robinson Odo, warned the public against falling victim to recruitment scams being circulated on social media.
“Please, disregard the news circulating on social media alleging that the state civil service commission is currently recruiting. Those directing applicants to apply through certain websites are unscrupulous agents and fraudsters,” Odo stated.
He clarified that no recruitment process is currently underway and urged the public to verify any job-related information through official channels to avoid being deceived.
Odo further cautioned that individuals or groups found perpetrating such fraudulent activities would face strict legal action.
“This government has successfully carried out thousands of employments through verifiable channels. The processes were traceable, transparent and accountable in line with the governing philosophy of Gov. Peter Mbah administration,” he added.
The chairman reiterated that any future job openings would be announced through proper and official communication platforms, ensuring transparency and credibility.
He also encouraged members of the public to report any suspicious recruitment activities to the relevant authorities, assuring them that the government remains committed to prioritizing transparency and accountability in all its dealings.
