A former Nigerian Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, is under investigation by the London Metropolitan Police in a new case, according to a recent documentary.
Ekweremadu, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for human trafficking last year, is now being investigated for his alleged involvement in a separate case, according to Politics Nigeria.
Details of the new case are scarce, but a two-part documentary series titled “Daniel vs Ekweremadu” sheds light on the circumstances surrounding the investigation.
The documentary reveals that a woman was arrested in November 2022 on suspicion of conspiracy to exploit for organ harvesting, but has since been released under investigation.
The London Metropolitan Police have declined to comment on the case due to the ongoing investigation.
The documentary series, produced by Chude Jideonwo Presents, features exclusive access to British prosecutors, police, and the family of the survivor-victim, known as “Daniel.” It is available on streaming platforms.
Ekweremadu’s fall from deputy senate president to convict has been well-documented, and this new investigation raises further questions about his activities while in office.
