Ahead of the 2023 Presidential election, veteran singer Charles Oputa aka Charly Boy, has endorsed the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
The social activist made the announcement via his official Twitter page on Thursday.
He also revealed that he prepared to stage the biggest political rally ever for Peter Obi before the end of the month.
Charly Boy said, “Hummmm, finally on Kakaki today, I publicly endorsed Peter Obi. Before this month runs out, I will stage the biggest rally ever. Who’s with me on the rally?”
Premium Politics recalls that a few months ago, Charly Boy stated that Peter Obi might not emerge as the country’s president but has done something.
He also predicted that a bloodless coup might happen, asking his followers to share their opinions on the matter.
“Peter Obi may or may not become our president at the end of the day, but his presence has activated something unusual in our history and ordinary Nigerians.”
Reacting to his recent endorsement of Obi, a section of Nigerians especially supporters of the LP presidential candidate took to social media to applaud Charly Boy.
