Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, has reaffirmed his dedication to collaborating with the newly appointed National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Udeh Okoye, to advance the party’s objectives and contribute to national development.
The Governor made the commitment on Saturday during a condolence visit by the PDP National Working Committee, led by Okoye, following the death of his stepmother, Hajiya Hauwa. Bala Mohammed expressed his gratitude for the visit, acknowledging the sympathy extended by the NWC. He described his stepmother as a woman of wisdom, whose life spanned nearly 120 years.
The Governor reflected on the visit, stating that Ibrahim Yayari, representing the NWC, offered heartfelt condolences, prayers for his family, and praised Hajiya Hauwa for her impactful life. He thanked the NWC for their solidarity and reiterated his commitment to working closely with the new National Secretary to push forward the party’s vision for the country’s progress.
The NWC delegation expressed their condolences and assured the Governor that the pain of his loss would eventually ease. They also expressed their support for his efforts to strengthen the PDP as a powerful opposition party, with particular emphasis on the contributions from the PDP Governors Forum.
Bala Mohammed stated, “Yesterday, I received the National Working Committee (NWC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at my residence as they paid a condolence visit following the passing of my beloved stepmother, Hajiya Hauwa, who lived a remarkable life of nearly 120 years.”
He added, “On behalf of the delegation, Ibrahim Yayari extended their heartfelt sympathies, offering prayers for my family and acknowledging Hajiya Hauwa’s impactful life of wisdom and guidance.
“I deeply appreciate the NWC’s solidarity during this time of mourning. I also reaffirmed my commitment to working closely with our newly appointed @OfficialPDPNig National Secretary, Udeh Okoye, to advance the party’s vision and contribute meaningfully to national development,” the Governor said.
