The Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri, has accused former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai of spreading falsehoods about the Bola Tinubu administration’s efforts to improve security in Kaduna.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, February 27, Omokri claimed that El-Rufai is frustrated due to his inability to control his successor, Senator Uba Sani, and influence governance in Kaduna.
Omokri stated: “Predictably, the disgruntled and failed former Kaduna Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, has accused the NSA and the Federal Government of not improving security in Kaduna and only paying bandits ransom to release their victims.”
He added, “This is just another lie by a frustrated man who hoped to continue ruling Kaduna by remote-controlling his successor, but he has been rebuffed and is now bitter.”
Omokri further pointed out, “Throughout the eight years that el-Rufai misruled Kaduna, not a single bandit leader was arrested, killed, or convicted. But under the Tinubu administration, more than fourteen notoriously murderous bandit leaders have been killed.”
He concluded his statement by calling on Nigerians to ignore the former governor, labeling him as a “drowning man seeking to take down as many people as he can with him.”
