Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, has declared intentions to run for the seat of the president of Nigeria in 2023 under the umbrella of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Ayade, on Tuesday, met with the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) at the State House, Abuja, to inform him of his ambition.

The governor was quoted as saying that he came to seek spiritual and political guidance from the President on who would take over from him come 2023 for continuity’s sake.
