Embattled Samuel Anyanwu has officially resumed duties as the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Reports indicate that Anyanwu arrived at the PDP National Secretariat at approximately 10:56 a.m. and proceeded directly to his office, where he was welcomed by his personal staff.
Addressing journalists from his desk, Anyanwu dismissed a statement made by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, regarding the party’s stance on his position.
Ologunagba had earlier confirmed to reporters that the PDP had received the Appeal Court judgment recognising Sunday Okoye as the National Secretary.
Reacting to the statement, Anyanwu said: “That is his opinion. It’s not the opinion of the party.
“As National Publicity Secretary of the party, I wouldn’t want to disparage him. Maybe he didn’t get the facts correctly. I have appealed.”
The development comes amidst ongoing leadership disputes within the PDP, raising questions about the party’s internal cohesion and direction.
