Former President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his condolences to Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State following the tragic loss of both his mother and son within 24 hours.
Buhari, in a telephone conversation with the governor, stated that such events are part of God’s will, urging him to accept the loss as the will of Allah, “who gives and takes away life.”
A statement from Buhari’s spokesman, Garba Shehu, made available to journalists on Friday in Abuja, conveyed the former president’s deep sympathy.
He noted that anyone with a sense of humanity would be moved by the double tragedy.
Buhari encouraged Governor Namadi to use this painful moment as an opportunity to strengthen his faith in Allah and to renew his commitment to serving the people of Jigawa.
