Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has appointed Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti as the Secretary to the State Government.
Fasoranti, an indigene of Akure South Local Government, is the son of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere. Until his appointment, he served as Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board.
The appointment was announced on Monday in a statement issued in Akure by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ebenezer Adeniyan.
Aiyedatiwa, who was sworn in earlier in the day as Ondo State’s 7th elected governor, has moved quickly to form his cabinet by naming other key government officials.
The governor also reappointed Dr. Kayode Ajulo as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, while Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac retained her position as Commissioner for Finance.
In addition, Aiyedatiwa approved the appointment of four Special Advisers:
– Engr. Johnson Alabi as Special Adviser on Power
– Seun Osamaye as Special Adviser on Women Affairs
– Mr. Bola Taiwo as Special Adviser on Union Matters and Special Duties
– Prof. Simidele Odimayo as Special Adviser on Health
Furthermore, the governor elevated Engr. Abiola Olawoye, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, to Special Adviser in the same portfolio.
These appointments mark Aiyedatiwa’s first major administrative decisions as he sets up his government following his inauguration.
