The rulling party, All Progressives Congress and its Presidential Campaign Council has announced the close of all its campaign activities and that of its candidate for the 2023 presidential election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser Media Communications and Public Affairs, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Alake.
Alake, who issued the statement on Thursday February 23, 2023, said all the political campaign activities of the party and its candidate for the Saturday election will come to an end by twelve midnight today.
According to him, the decision came in accordance with the Electoral Act and as a result of the APC, being a law abiding party, that does everything possible to ensure that all its activities are within the jurisdiction of the law.
However, he directed all the party’s campaign organs and all other groups working for the victory of the party and its candidate, to ensure that no media advert or any form of advertisement materials, including social media advert, run beyond the stipulated time.
He wrote, “PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT.
“On behalf of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), I hereby announce to the general public that all campaign activities of the party and that of our candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, towards Saturday’s presidential election will come to a conclusive and decisive end by midnight today, Thursday, February 23, 2023 in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act. #NigeriaDecides2023.
